Fight fans witnessed one of the quickest knockouts in mixed martial arts history on Friday night at LFA 235 in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Legacy Fighting Alliance returned to action with its first event in nearly a month, looking to steal some headlines away from recent major UFC cards.

While the fight card did not feature many household names, it delivered a truly historic highlight in the card’s highly anticipated co-main event.

Middleweight prospect Jake Woodley squared off against David Wright, with both young fighters eager to score the most significant performance of their careers.

Woodley entered the cage with a respectable 7-1 professional record, though he possessed just two knockout victories to his name prior to Friday.

Despite his unproven track record for one-punch knockout power, the rising middleweight needed mere seconds to settle the contest inside the cage.

Just four seconds into the opening round, Woodley unleashed a looping overhand right that connected flush and instantly left his opponent out cold.

The impact was so devastating that Wright was already completely unconscious before he even began falling backward toward the canvas floor.

Woodley actually ended up taking his opponent down directly off the momentum of the punch, though the referee was already rushing in to halt the action.

The stunning sequence sent shockwaves through the live crowd in Kentucky and ignited a massive wave of reactions across social media.

It officially goes down as one of the fastest finishes ever recorded in a professional cage, making Woodley an instant viral sensation overnight.

‘I visualized getting a five-second knockout a million times,’ Woodley revealed, admitting that his game plan worked out better than he could have ever hoped.

‘I knew I was going to run out and throw a right hand,’ the victorious middleweight added. ‘I felt him go stiff and I was like, ‘Holy s***, I think I knocked him out.”

The clinical victory extends Woodley’s impressive professional record to 8-1 with three knockouts, firmly cementing the rising prospect as a legitimate problem for the division.
