‘Thunder (ah-ah, ah-ah-ah),
‘Thunder (ah-ah, ah-ah-ah),
‘Thunder (ah-ah, ah-ah-ah)…’
OK, you get the gist. This introduction post was originally going to be about England’s mammoth challenge in Mexico City, as they take on the co-hosts at the Azteca in the round of 16.
But not anymore. Now I have morphed into some sort of weatherman, as a thunderstorm batters the Mexican capital, with the weather now threatening to severely delay the already late kick-off.
The thunderstorm protocols are already in place less than three hours before kick-off, now all we can do is sit here and hope that the game goes ahead on time at 1am UK time (and 6pm local time).
Prepare for plenty of AC/DC pop culture references.
