Summary
The mentoring scheme provides financial support to Invest NI customers to engage a business mentor who will work with the business to accelerate growth and to overcome specific barriers. The business mentor will provide expertise, support and challenge. They will assist you to consider your options to make the right decisions for your company.
Support includes
- Financial and advisory support for project based engagement of an external business mentor.
- A grant up to £4,000 or 49% of eligible costs, whichever is the lesser, over a 12 month period.
Eligibility criteria
The Mentoring scheme is open to Invest Northern Ireland clients, which are manufacturing and/or tradeable services businesses with the potential to both
- achieve at least 25% of sales external to Northern Ireland (or at least £250,000 external sales, whichever is lower)
- employ at least ten staff, within five years
If you can demonstrate that your business meets these criteria, you may be eligible to apply to become an Invest NI client.
Additional information
Your business will provide the following input in the scheme
- Selecting and appointing the mentor.
- Negotiating and agreeing the terms and conditions of the contract and ensuring that there is a formal letter of engagement with the mentor.
