While the off-field moments have been filled with happiness, the same can’t be said for Melbourne’s on-field results.
Simon Goodwin’s Demons remain winless at 0-5, with mounting pressure on the coach’s future.
Melbourne face critical games against Fremantle, Richmond and the Eagles that could shape the remainder of their season.
Club captain Max Gawn admitted that morale had been an issue following their latest loss to Essendon.
Goodwin, however, remains firm in his belief that he can lead a turnaround, stating he is ‘incredibly confident’ in his coaching.
