Maxx Crosby has signed a three-year, $106.5million extension with the Raiders that makes him the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
The defensive end’s future had been the subject of some recent speculation but this deal includes $91.5m in guaranteed money.
The 27-year-old was drafted by the Raiders in 2019 and has since cemented himself as one of the top defensive players in the NFL.
The 6ft 5ins, 255-pound DE was recently named to the Pro Bowl for the fourth straight year, having amassed a team-leading 7.5 sacks and 17 tackles for loss in 2024.
Since Crosby entered the league in 2019, no defensive lineman can match Crosby’s tally of tackles for loss (105). This deal represents good news for the Raiders and for Tom Brady, who is a minority owner in the team and has a ‘huge voice’ in the franchise’s future.
Earlier this week, Crosby said he wanted Aaron Rodgers to be his team’s new quarterback in 2025.

Rodgers, 41, will be cut by the New York Jets and is searching for a new team. The Los Angeles Rams were one genuine option but that door is now closed after it emerged Matthew Stafford is remaining in Los Angeles.
But star defensive end Crosby, speaking on his Rush with Maxx podcast, is backing Rodgers to have a massive year in 2025 with whoever signs him – and he wants it to be his team.
‘The first year off an Achilles is one of the hardest things to do,’ Crosby said, reflecting on Rodgers’ return from his injury in the 2023 campaign. ‘You see it with Kirk (Cousins of Atlanta Falcons), Kirk had a down year.
‘It happened with Aaron, he struggled early on but got better as the season went. I think with all the doubt and all the negativity around Aaron – people saying he needs to retire and things like that, getting cut by the Jets – I think he’s going to come back (and have a big year).
‘I know he’s 42 or 41 but I think he’s going to have a big year this year. And I hope it is in (points to himself) around town.’
