It’s that time of the year again – the transfer window is now open until September 1 and it’s sure to be a busy period with clubs looking to make big signings ahead of next season.
Here are today’s latest developments from Simon Jones and the Daily Mail Sport team…
Mason Greenwood set for Turkey
Mason Greenwood is to be confirmed as a new Fenerbahce player after they agreed a permanent deal with Marseille of around £34million.
Manchester United are due 40 per cent of the overall fee, although 20 per cent of that will go to Getafe, who took Greenwood on loan for the 2023-24 season.
As previously reported, that should work out around £10.2million.

Aston Villa defender heading for Spain loan spell
Aston Villa right-back Andres Garcia is closing on a loan move to Getafe.
The 23-year-old joined Villa from Levante 18 months ago in a £6million deal but made only 8 appearances last season.
Villa are looking to juggle a number of transfers this window to meet UEFA financial requirements.
They still want to strengthen after agreeing to sign Johan Manzambi from Freiburg but are losing Youri Tielemans to Manchester United for £36m and Lucas Digne to Paris St Germain for £8.5m.
There is also interest around Ollie Watkins and while they don’t want to lose Morgan Rogers, offers from Arsenal are anticipated.
Sunderland land Thomas Menuier
Sunderland are signing Thomas Meunier on a two year contract.
The Belgium international, who was part of their World Cup squad, is a free agent after leaving Lille and has been talking to Valencia.
Hull City had also opened discussions with the 34-year-old right back but he has travelled to the North East this morning to complete a medical and sign for Sunderland.
