Manchester United plan to invite Luke Littler to Old Trafford to parade his World Darts Championship trophy around the ground after the boyhood fan made history at Alexandra Palace.
Littler, 17, become the youngest ever darts world champion with a stunning demolition job of Michael van Gerwen on Friday night.
Now, Mail Sport understands that talks are ongoing for Littler to be a guest of United at an upcoming home game to show off his Sid Wadell Trophy.
The exact game for Littler’s visit is still to be determined with United’s Premier League clash against Southampton on January 16 clashing with the Bahrain Masters for Littler.
United play host to Brighton three days later on January 19 and that represents the most likely opportunity, with the only other home game in January a Europa League clash against Rangers on January 23 but with the Dutch Masters starting the following day it’s not ideal for the darts phenomenon.
It has been a whirlwind year for Littler since making his debut at the World Darts Championship 12 months ago, where he went on to reach the final.
