City so far

To tonight, then, and our favourites for the tie in Manchester City. City are masters of this competition, winning it four times in a row between 2018 and 2021 – but they haven’t won it since.

This year, they have had it pretty easy, in all honestly. In the third round they beat Huddersfield 2-0, and in the fourth they beat Swansea 3-1. Just goes to show how interesting it is for the big Premier League sides in this competition.

Tonight is the first time they will face a top flight side, but they should still have enough to progress.
