Manchester United are edging closer to accepting the sale of Antony to Real Betis.
As well as Tyrell Malacia, Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho, the Brazilian winger is one of four remaining ‘Bomb Squad’ members at United, whom Ruben Amorim have cast aside and told to look for new clubs.
Marcus Rashford secured his dream move to Barcelona in a loan move which was completed earlier this summer.
Now, Antony is closing in on a return to Spain, where he spent the second half of last season on loan at Betis, this time on a permanent deal.
In his first weeks at the club the 25-year-old was nominated for the LaLiga Player of the Month award and he went on to score five league goals and contribute two assists across 15 starts.
Daily Mail Sport understands that a deal is close although the two clubs are currently discussing a sell-on clause valued at 50 per cent.
Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal to sell £85million flop Antony to Real Betis

The move is reportedly subject to Antony and Betis agreeing personal terms, but club-to-club negotiations are no longer a stumbling block
Reports elsewhere claimed that United had given Antony permission to fly to the south of Spain to finalise the move, but Daily Mail Sport understands that the deal is not that advanced just yet.
As of now, the fee for Antony’s sale is undisclosed, but it will certainly be a far cry from the £85million United paid for him when he arrived from Ajax in 2022.
Although he won the FA Cup and the League Cup with United, Antony has endured much frustration at Old Trafford.
In total, he has played 96 games and has scored 12 goals for the club, while he has provided nine assists.
Antony has 16 caps for Brazil, with his most recent appearance for his country coming in 2023. He received a recall to the squad in June but was an unused substitute for games against Ecuador and Paraguay.
