Manchester United have held face-to-face talks with a Premier League striker regarding a potential move this summer.
United boss Ruben Amorim is eager to bolster his team’s attacking options, with the Red Devils having mustered just 42 goals in the Premier League so far this season.
The player in question has a release clause of £30million, which makes him an appealing prospect.
Just hours earlier it emerged that United are close to securing the signing of Wolves star Matheus Cunha.
United have yet to approach Wolves directly regarding the payment terms of Cunha’s release clause of £62.5million but there aren’t expected to be any issues.
It is expected that United will be able to sign Cunha and their favoured striker regardless of whether they beat Tottenham in the Europa League final this week.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe is aware that United require significant improvements this summer
As reported by The Athletic, United have held discussions with Liam Delap over a possible move.
Although Ipswich were relegated from the Premier League, Delap often caught the eye and scored 12 goals in 35 league matches.
Delap was given permission by Ipswich to travel to Manchester and assess a potential move to United.
The 22-year-old will consider the various options available to him before making a decision.
Delap started his senior career at Manchester City (for whom he made six appearances) and also had loan spells at Stoke, Preston and Hull.
The forward’s release clause of £30million has been activated after Ipswich were relegated.
Other options that United have considered to add to their attack include Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford, Viktor Gyokeres of Sporting and Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli.
An England Under-21 international, Delap looks set for a bright future at both club and international level.
