Manchester United have drafted in Angry Ginge to help release their new third kit – which is inspired by the famous Salford Lads Club.
The content creator and I’m a Celebrity victor is a well known United fan and is from Salford, home to the iconic landmark a stone’s throw from Old Trafford.
He was spotted filming in the area last week with a host of first teamers including Matheus Cunha, Amad Diallo and Lisandro Martinez.
Third kits are usually released late in the summer, just ahead of the new season.
However, insiders have disclosed that the kit will feature a nod to the signage at the Lads Club, which featured on the inside cover of the 1986 The Smiths’ album The Queen is Dead.
Set on a green background it features two red roses of Lancashire and adorns the entrance to the red-brick building.

Those colours are expected to be present on the adidas-manufactured kit, which officials will hope sells as well as this season’s offering, a black number based on the shirt worn by the club between 1993 and 1995.
Last week, Daily Mail Sport revealed that United will wear their new home shirt at their last two matches of the season, this Sunday’s visit of Nottingham Forest and at Brighton on May 24.
In 2023 United agreed a 10-year extension to their deal with adidas which runs to June 2035 and will be worth a minimum of £900m. The latest partnership began in 2015-16, although adidas had previously supplied kit from 1980 to 1992.
