A 39-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Christopher “Chrissy” Burns in County Armagh last week.
Mr Burns was found dead with serious injuries to his head and face at a property in Cusher Green, Mountnorris, on Thursday morning.
Aaron McAnulty, with an address at Cusher Green in County Armagh, appeared in the dock at Newry Magistrates Court.
He spoke only to confirm his name and age, and to say he understood the charge of murder.
A detective confirmed to the court she could connect Mr McAnulty to the charge.
The victim, who is originally from Warrenpoint, was in his 40s, and had been living in the property in Mountnorris for a number of years.
There was no bail application and Mr McAnulty was remanded in custody to appear again in court on 30 September.
