The investigation into the assault claims made against NFL star Geno Smith has concluded, according to a report.
Video emerged on social media last month appearing to show the shirtless New York Jets quarterback arguing with a woman outside a mansion in Davie, Florida. In the footage, he can be heard saying ‘she just called the police’.
Davie police announced on Tuesday that the case has been declared inactive with no charges being brought against the signal caller, according to Rich Cimini.
Future investigative action is reportedly contingent on additional information or evidence being brought forward.
Police opened the investigation into the assault allegations after a video of the dispute with a woman at his home on June 21.
The woman, seemingly named Kristen, made a series of bombshell allegations against Smith when uploading the video to a private Instagram account.

Her post read: ‘Today is the DAY! GENO SMITH beat my a** cause he HATES taking care of his special needs kid and can’t be left alone with him because he’d rather watch s** online and play Call of Duty.’
In the video, the woman responds to Smith telling somebody on the phone that she had called the police by replying: ‘Geno just beat my a**, that’s why. You ran outside and attacked me, b****.’
During the argument, the woman then sprints down the driveway and screams for ‘help’. Smith tells her to ‘leave my neighborhood’. With Smith stood on the driveway, she claims he ‘broke my f***ing computer’.
Smith then gets into the driver’s seat of a car, which she says is hers, and allegedly takes purses and money out before a scuffle seems to take place.
The video then ends with the woman filming Smith talking to three police officers outside his house. The caption reads: ‘Charges, PRESSED!’
After the video had circulated on social media, the mother of Smith’s son, Seven, took to Instagram to post a defense of the NFL star.
She posted a picture of Smith holding Seven, who was born in 2019, and wrote: ‘Geno is and always has been more than capable of taking care of his son. Let’s kill that narrative.
‘Don’t get on the internet bringing my son into your web of dysfunction.’

Smith was traded by the Raiders to the Jets in March along with a seventh-round draft pick
The quarterback found himself in more hot water last week after he was ticketed for speeding.
Cimini also first reported on the incident, saying that the speeding violation occurred on July 6 at roughly 11am.
He claims police caught Smith driving 70mph in a 45mph zone. Smith was also reportedly cited for failing to produce his license.
‘These are traffic violations, these are not misdemeanors, these are citations. It’s about $400 in fines. He doesn’t even have to show up in court. It’s your basic speeding ticket,’ Cimini said.
Smith is back with the Jets for a second spell after they first took him in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
The two-time Pro Bowler has also played for the New York Giants , Los Angeles Chargers, Seattle Seahawks and Las Vegas Raiders during his career.
Smith, who won the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year award in 2022, was traded to the Jets in March along with a seventh-round pick. In return, the Raiders received a sixth-round pick in next year’s draft.
