A MAGA supporter told how his wife was reduced to tears after he bought her a Trump-branded watch that arrived with a major typo.

Tim Petit, from Middletown, Rhode Island, treated his wife Melanie to a $640 pink limited-edition Trump-themed timepiece from GetTrumpWatches.com, NBC10 reports.

When it arrived, the couple was disappointed to discover that instead of the words “TRUMP” on the face, the watch read “RUMP.”

“I’m very disappointed. I wanted to do a special thing for her,” Petit told the news outlet. “And we expected that it would have the integrity of the President of the United States and good follow-through.”

“An apology would be nice for making my wife cry,” Petit added.

After being contacted by NBC10, the company apologized and said they would immediately replace the watch, in addition to offering the couple an $800 coupon as a goodwill gesture.

Petit said he purchased the watch for his wife after hearing President Donald Trump’s “voice hawking the watches” on a radio ad.

An ad on the company’s website features the president touting the watches. “It’s Trump time!” the president says.

In the small print on the website, the company states that it “uses the ‘Trump’ name, image and likeness under a paid license agreement which may be terminated or revoked according to its terms.”

The watches are “not designed, manufactured, distributed or sold by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization or any of their respective affiliates or principals,” the small print makes clear.

Meanwhile, The Trump Store, which is the official retail website of the Trump Organization, has pushed out more than 600 items since the president returned to the White House, a watchdog group claimed last month.

The store is overseen by the president’s two eldest sons, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump.

The nonprofit organization Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington reported that in the first 14 months of Trump’s second term as president, the Trump Store has sold at least 622 new products, costing a total of nearly $43,000.

“This is an unprecedented level of monetization of the presidency, even by the standards of Trump’s own first term,” the ethics group said.

The White House has denied claims that Trump has profited from his time in office.

The Trump Store launched in 2017, early in Trump’s first presidential term, according to the nonprofit. The store brought in a whopping $8.8 million in 2024, which was the year Trump was elected president for the second time, the organization reported, citing Trump’s last published financial records.
