At least eight people have been killed in a fire at a coaching centre in Lucknow city in northern India on Monday.
Firefighters, police officers and rescue workers are currently responding to the blaze within the three-storey commercial building.
Authorities say the death toll could rise as rescue teams continue to search the building.
Local media said the death toll was higher and put it at 14, adding that they were mostly students. Eyewitnesses have claimed that some people may have been trapped inside and that others jumped to safety.
This incident comes a few weeks after the Delhi hotel fire in Malviya Nagar that claimed 21 lives.
