A boisterous LSU football fan was slammed into a wall and put into a vicious chokehold by a Clemson supporter in the stands during Saturday’s massive college gridiron clash.
LSU went on the road and took down Clemson in one of the showpiece games of college football’s opening weekend, in what was a devastating loss for the ACC favorites with national-title aspirations, and a breakthrough victory for the Bayou Bengals.
Moments after the victory was secured, an LSU fan in the nosebleeds of Memorial Stadium let out a massive scream of excitement before walking behind the final row of seating.
Standing behind that row was a man in an Clemson shade of orange shirt, with his arms folded as he comes into focus.
The LSU fan in an Odell Beckham Jr. jersey approaches the fan, gets down on one knee, and gives a double middle finger to the Clemson supporter just feet away from where he is standing.
The Clemson fan does not notice the LSU agitator at first. Upon a second version of the multiple impolite gesture, the man in orange lunges at the traveling fan and puts his left hand around his rival’s throat.

The altercation occurred on Saturday night after LSU secured the victory in the massive game
The video ends with a still of the chokehold, with other fans appearing to try to separate the grip from the LSU fan’s throat.
How the situation was resolved was not clear but was sure to garner plenty of attention in the nosebleeds.
Neither school has commented on the incident, with the actions from both men within the realm of ejection from the venue.
Saturday’s clash was the first regular-season game at Clemson where alcohol sales were allowed inside the stadium, meaning one or both fans may have not been sober at the time of the incident.
Neither man in the video has been identified publicly nor do there appear to be any charges filed with Clemson police for the chokehold.
