A streamer featured in Louis Theroux’s Manosphere documentary was subjected to humiliating chants from England fans, before threatening to fight a group of supporters in a pub in Boston.
In the acclaimed documentary, Ed Matthews was filmed showing Louis Theroux his so-called ‘predator content’, including a vile moment where he had forced individuals to eat pet food as part of the content.
But the tables were turned in New England as fans gathered ahead of England’s group stage match against Ghana on Tuesday when the internet personality was labeled a ‘sex offender’ in a rousing chant.
In the moment streamed by the content creator, Matthews appeared to take part in a chant which started: ‘England fans are on a bender, Ed Matthews is a sex offender’ .
Matthews was later captured threatening a group of supporters mocking him, which started with one accusing him of ‘begging it’.
When Matthews then accused the fan of ‘begging it’ himself, he pointed out that Matthews ‘had a camera here’.

Matthews later found himself embroiled in a disagreement with another group of supporters
Earlier the Louis Theroux Manosphere documentary participant had interrupted a DAZN clip
‘How am I begging it? You’ll get chinned lad,’ Matthews warned. ‘You’ll get chinned. Mate, I’ll come right up and bam.’
‘You won’t, though,’ one of the fan’s friends replied.
‘Who are you?’ Another asked as Matthews protested.
‘You probably won’t. You want to walk around, and video someone else,’ the second man said. ‘Go video somewhere else, no one gives a f*** mate.’
Continuing to call on Matthews to move on, the group of fans gained support, with a fourth man saying: ‘You ain’t going to do nothing’, after appearing to point out that his camera would incriminate him.
‘Shut up, ***,’ Matthews said amid the taunts.
‘Go find another kid to speak to, lad,’ the first man told Matthews as he turned his back on him.
‘You said you were going to chin him, so chin him,’ the second encouraged mockingly.
Earlier in the evening, Matthews had caused more chaos by interrupting a filmed segment for DAZN by grabbing the mic and shouting: ‘Stop the boats’.
Matthews’ segment in the BBC documentary also saw him open up on his belief in some conspiracy theories.
He told Theroux: ‘I feel like the people who run the world, they don’t have our best intentions… they use vibrations that are negatively going to bring you down.’
When asked by Theroux who he thought ‘controlled all of that’, Matthews left viewers shocked with a deeply anti-Semitic response, simply stating it was ‘the Jews’.
