Let’s look at the other end of the table.
We know Liverpool have been miles off their best this season, with Arne Slot’s future in doubt despite their league success last year.
But they do look set to qualify for the Champions League again. They are well set in fifth, which we know will be enough, with teams below them scrambling for sixth.
They do have to keep an eye or two on those below them, but win today they’ll go eight clear of Brighton – seven clear of Brentford if they win on Monday night.
