Lionel Messi’s wife Antonela Roccuzzo was left speechless by her husband and Argentina’s dramatic victory on Tuesday.
Messi and the defending champions looked set to be eliminated from the World Cup at the last-16 stage when they were trailing Egypt 2-0 with 12 minutes left in the second half.
However, in one of the great comebacks in tournament history, they scored three goals in 13 minutes to stun Mohamed Salah and co. and secure their spot in the quarterfinals.
Messi’s wife Antonela and three sons – Thiago, 13, Mateo, 10, and Ciro, 8, – were all in attendance in Atlanta to watch the soccer icon’s thrilling win.
And Antonela, who married the 2022 World Cup winner in 2017, shared a touching tribute to her husband following the game.
She shared a sweet Instagram post honoring the forward, writing, ‘Vamos Argentina. @leomessi ya no quedan palabras,’ which translates in English to ‘Let’s go Argentina. @leomessi there are no words left’.

She also shared a couple of photos of herself posing in a VIP suite, showing off her husband’s surname on the back of her jersey and a powder blue Hermes Kelly.
Antonela may have been generally known as the supportive wife of a legendary football player from 2017, but she has since established her own path as a successful businesswoman.
Today she’s a philanthropist, a multi-millionaire influencer, a children’s fashion label owner and a model – having worked with several fitness brands and companies including Adidas and Stella McCartney.
She had also initially intended to pursue a career in dentistry, though she gave that up to be at the Argentina striker’s side as he started his journey via Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and now Inter Miami to become one of the world’s richest and finest footballers.
Messi married his gorgeous wife in a glitzy wedding in their hometown of Rosario on June 30, 2017.
The couple share their three children. In 2012, five years before they tied the knot, their eldest son Thiago was born, followed by Mateo in 2015. The youngest son, Ciro, was born in 2018.

Soon afterwards, Argentina had the opportunity to restore parity when they were awarded a penalty. Up stepped Messi but his spot-kick was brilliantly saved by Mostafa Shobeir.
Egypt doubled their lead midway through the second half via Mostafa Zico – just minutes after having a goal ruled out following a VAR check.
Argentina’s comeback started when Sergio Romero headed home on 79 minutes to give the South Americans some hope.
Messi’s equalizer off the under-side of the crossbar on 83 minutes saw the momentum swing in his side’s favor and that was reaffirmed when Enzo Fernandez’s superb header in the second minute of second half stoppage time sealed their jaw-dropping comeback.
