Kylie Minogue has opened up about her new song, “Light Up,” which was written especially for her Netflix documentary.

Across three episodes, directed by Emmy and BAFTA Award-winning Michael Harte, the show explores how the Australian singer became one of the world’s most beloved pop stars.

Speaking at a Q&A at Spotify’s Listening Lounge in London ahead of the release, Kylie revealed the first details of the track.

“The song is about that love that your parent, or someone who cares for you, can give you when you’re lost, confused, lonely, distressed… someone who loves you can look into your eyes and see a world of potential,” Kylie reflected.
