After demolishing the Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden on Monday night, three members of the New York Knicks were reportedly rejected from Madonna and Sabrina Carpenter’s Met Gala afterparty at a swank NoHo bar.
According to TMZ, the yet-to-be-identified Knicks stars could not get past the door at Zero Bond, where tennis great Serena Williams was on hand with Kendall Jenner, the daughter of legendary Olympic decathlete Caitlyn, as well as a number of other celebrities.
The Knicks players weren’t coming from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where co-chairs Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour helped to raise $42 million for the Met’s Costume Institute.
Instead, the trio of Knicks stars were arriving from MSG, where they beat the 76ers, 137-98, earlier Monday night to take a 1-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference semis.
But like many others who tried to gain access at Zero Bond on Monday, the Knicks were reportedly denied, while the likes of Katy Perry, Margot Robbie, Hailey Bieber and Adrien Brody were all granted access.
For what it’s worth, Madonna is a Detroit native who previously dated Pistons legend, Dennis Rodman.

The evening proved to be a difficult choice for Knicks diehard supporter Ben Stiller, who attended the Met Gala with wife Christine Taylor, only to face criticism from sports fans for abandoning his favorite team.
Though some fans on social media loved Stiller’s Knicks-inspired blue-and-orange look, Barstool boss Dave Portnoy offered a brutal assessment on the actor’s decision to hit the red carpet.
Taking to X on Monday evening, Portnoy wrote: ‘If Ben Stiller picked the Met Gala over Game 1 of the Knicks game he may have to turn in his man card.’
It’s fair to say that users on social media did not agree with Portnoy’s take and quickly reminded him that his own team, the Celtics, were eliminated from the playoffs.
On X, another fan said: ‘Dave your team is out! You’re not invited to either.’
‘At least Ben Stiller still has plenty of games he can attend while you sit on your couch and cope with your failure of your team being eliminated,’ another fan wrote.
Other fans, meanwhile, pointed out the Portnoy skipped the Celtics’ Game 7 defeat to the 76ers due to the fact he attended the Kentucky Derby instead.
