Kimi Antonelli extended his lead at the top of the drivers’ standings by claiming victory in the British Grand Prix sprint race ahead of home favourite Lewis Hamilton.
The seven-time world champion started the day on pole position but was unable to prevent Antonelli – the teenage Italian driver who succeeded him at Mercedes – from passing him on the ninth lap during a frantic, 17-lap tussle at Silverstone.
