Actor and R&B singer Ray J has been recovering in a Las Vegas hospital after being brutally knocked out in his influencer MMA bout on Saturday, according to reports.
The 45-year-old singer – who made a famous sex tape with Kim Kardashian that launched her to eventual international recognition – took part in a UFC Apex event, where he faced off against YouTube icon Supa Hot Fire in Nevada.
Early in the second round, Supa Hot – a character created by Deshawn Raw – delivered a knockout blow to the hitmaker, sending him stumbling into the ropes.
While he was able to get back up, he needed to sit on a stool, before the referee for the controversial event quickly called an end to the bout.
According to TMZ, Ray J – who’s real name is William Raymond Norwood Jr. – checked himself into the Vegas hospital just hours after the bout ended.
According to a source close to the singer, he has remained in hospital for two days as doctors continue to run tests, amid fears over a concussion and potential heart issues.

The ‘Let It Go’ singer was left grasping for the ropes as he was brutally sent to the mat
The ‘Let It Go’ singer entered the bout having previously stated his heart complications and claiming that he did not have long left to live.
In January, he revealed that he is suffering from severe heart failure where the organ is only beating at ’25 percent.’
‘2027 is definitely a wrap for me,’ the singer told social media at the time. ‘That’s what they say. I shouldn’t have went this hard, bro.
‘My baby mama [his estranged wife, Princess Love] gonna be straight, my kids gonna be straight, if they wanna spend all the money, they can spend it.
‘I did my part here. And damn, when it’s all done, burn me, don’t bury me.’
He had been hospitalized in Las Vegas, NV on January 6 for severe case of pneumonia and heart pains.
The Mississippi-born belter was prescribed eight medications to treat his condition and doctors have told him to prepare for a possible pacemaker or defibrillator – according to TMZ.
Bleeding eyes or retinal hemorrhages can reportedly reveal systemic vascular damage that can indicate an increased risk of heart failure.

After his fight, he appeared to suggest that the fight was supposed to be fixed in his favor
Meanwhile, in his post-fight interview on Saturday night Ray J appeared to suggest that the fight was supposed to be fixed in his favor – only for Supa Hot to not follow the plan.
‘Damn bro … like that? For real … that’s janky as f***,’ Ray J told his rival, seemingly in disbelief.
‘I don’t want to say too much because I don’t want to get nobody in trouble, but damn… we took an L tonight.’
Ray J added, ‘You know how much money we lost? Wow… wow.’
It was also revealed on Tuesday that the bout was under investigation from Brand Risk Promotions – owned by controversial live streamer Adin Ross – following the singer’s viral comments.
In a statement on their Instagram, they wrote: ‘During Saturday night’s event, one of the fighters insinuated that there may have been a prearranged plan for his bout.
‘Brand Risk has immediately launched an internal investigation, led by our attorney, a former federal prosecutor, to determine whether any attempt was made to manipulate the outcome of the fight. Both manipulating a fight or attempting to do so are serious violations that strike at the heart of the sport.
‘If we determine that such conduct occurred or was attempted, we will hold the responsible parties fully accountable.
‘At Brand Risk, we take match integrity seriously and will not tolerate any conduct that calls into question the sport we all love.’
