Kim Kardashian ignored Martin Brundle and his request for a conversation in an awkward encounter on the F1 grid at the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday.

Kardashian, who is supporting boyfriend Lewis Hamilton at F1’s crown jewel event this weekend, is in Monte Carlo with her sister Khloe and was present on the grid before the race.

Sky Sports broadcaster, and former F1 racer, Brundle was undertaking his usual pre-race grid walk when he asked Kardashian at the front of the grid: “How are you today?”

Kardashian, who has been dating Hamilton since the start of the year, decided not to interact with Brundle, who then asked: “Are you enjoying Formula 1?” Again, his request fell on deaf ears as the American celebrity completely ignored the British pundit to conclude an awkward encounter.

Moments earlier, Brundle reacted in irritation after being shoved by someone on the grid, saying sarcastically: “Don’t push me mate, I’m nearly famous.”

Sky Sports F1 broadcaster Brundle, known for his amusing encounters with celebrities on the grid, had a bizarre encounter with Jimmy Fallon in Miami last month when the American talk show host bit his microphone.

Brundle, who had a mix-up with Lewis Capaldi’s brother and was shunned by Usher in Saudi Arabia last year, also had a run-in with Kylian Mbappe’s bodyguard in 2024 in Monaco, saying “I’m in charge here”, when trying to conduct an interview with the France and Real Madrid star.

In Brazil in November 2023, Brundle bumped into American rapper Machine Gun Kelly and an odd interview occurred, in which the American rapper fiddled with Brundle’s poppy, asked him to play the air guitar and put his thumb down to the camera at the end.

Brundle also briefly encountered Shaquille O’Neal in Las Vegas in 2023, with the NBA legend simply saying “Lewis Hamilton baby”.

Brundle also endured hilarious encounters with DJ Khaled and Pharrell Williams in Miami in 2022, as well as a slightly frosty exchange with Cara Delevingne at Silverstone three years ago, in which the model refused to talk to the broadcaster.
