AFL WAG Kellie Finlayson has revealed she has undergone yet another surgery.

The 30-year-old has been in a fight against stage four cancer for over four years.

She has already exceeded the devastating 12-month prognosis she was given in 2021 after being diagnosed with the illness.

The wife of former Port Adelaide Power player Jeremy Finlayson is continuing to fight tooth and nail to stay alive and posted to social media to update her followers on her latest bout of surgery.

‘Thank you so so so much to everyone that has checked in,’ she wrote on her Instagram story.

‘Surgery went well, will talk about it more when I can keep my eyes open.’

The 30-year-old was initially diagnosed with stage four bowel cancer in 2021, shortly after giving birth to her daughter.

By Boxing Day 2022, the young mum was told that the cancer had metastasised to her lungs.

That initially led Jeremy and Kellie to cancel their wedding.

But a second oncologist prioritised quality of life, and the two went ahead with a low-key ceremony in 2023.

The mum-of-one has captured the hearts of the Australian public with her sense of humour and resilience as she lives life to the fullest despite the diagnosis.

Finlayson has now released a book called There Must Be More: Finding Purpose In The Face Of The Unimaginable, which sheds light on her journey.

The inspiring mum has claimed she is ‘so incredibly proud to share this piece with me and the world.’
