Watch as the Princess of Wales chats with locals in Italy on her first major royal tour in more than three years.
Footage showed Kate speaking with pre-school children at the Piazza Camillo Prampolini in Reggio Emila on Wednesday (13 May), where she impressed with her “perfect” Italian, HELLO reported.
Student Alice, 5, said that Kate spoke “Italian very well”, whilst her teacher Roberta Marzi said: “She asked them some simple questions but her Italian was perfect, she spoke clearly.”
The two-day visit is the beginning of a “really significant moment” following her cancer recovery, an aide said.
During her trip, she was presented with the Primo Tricolore, the highest honour from the city in recognition for her work at the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood.
