Juice’s Mawaan Rizwan has stressed the importance of creating real art to combat the rise of AI.
Speaking to The Independent at the Royal Television Society Awards on Tuesday (23 March), Rizwan explained how the show came about through people “from different backgrounds working together in harmony”.
“In the age of AI, we did everything handmade. There’s so much craft that’s gone into the show.”
He said he “called upon centuries old traditions” to make the comedy show, which stars Mawaan Rizwan as Jamma, a young gay man who is navigating his relationship with his boyfriend Gus (Russell Tovey).
