Jimmy Kimmel deployed AI to lampoon Donald Trump after the president stormed out of an interview last week, an episode the late-night host declared a “hissy fit.”
During a wide-ranging on-camera interview with NBC News Friday in Wisconsin, host Kristen Welker pressed Trump on his claims that California elections are “crooked” and riddled with Democratic “cheating.”
When the journalist asked the president to provide evidence for his claims, the exchange quickly unraveled. Trump told Welker “you’re either crooked or you’re stupid,” before tearing off his microphone and walking off set.
Kimmel played a clip of the confrontation for his late night show audience Monday and joked: “This is why he mostly dated women that don’t speak English.”
“I don’t know if he was worried about the cotton candy on his head getting wet or he just didn’t like the fact that he was being taken to task by a woman,” he continued. “Either way, their talk ended in a full blown Trumper tantrum.”

The comedian then proceeded to air another clip from the Meet the Press sit-down — this time, with a few modifications apparently made with AI.
“You’re crooked, and the press is crooked, and so is ABC, and CBS and CNN. You’re one-sided, crooked networks…Right, let’s call it quits,” Trump said.
The camera then cut to a wider shot, showing the 79-year-old president sans trousers, wearing a seemingly soiled diaper as he stood up and trundled off camera.
“When that dinner bell rings, he’s gone,” Kimmel joked. “Can you imagine any other president in the history of any other place doing that? That was a hissy fit.”
When reached for comment by The Independent, White House spokesperson Davis Ingle dismissed the comedian’s commentary.
“Nobody in their right mind cares what seriously unfunny Jimmy Kimmel thinks,” Ingle said.
Shortly after the failed interview, recorded in a Wisconsin barn, Trump told a crowd of supporters that he became upset on account of the weather.
“It was raining. And it was with NBC fake news,” the president said. “And because it was raining, I got a little bit angry at them. I was not happy with them. But we had a good time.”

Kimmel and Trump have traded barbs for years. Trump has repeatedly dismissed the late-night host as “seriously unfunny,” and called for him to be taken off the air.
In April, Trump complained about a segment of Kimmel’s monologue in which the host joked that First Lady Melania Trump had the glow of “an expectant widow.” Trump condemned the remark as a “despicable call to violence” and said it was “far beyond the pale.”
Tensions between Jimmy Kimmel Live and the administration boiled over in September, when ABC News suspended the show following criticism from conservatives and administration officials over Kimmel’s comments about Charlie Kirk.
Following widespread backlash, ABC News announced days later that the show would resume production.
