JD Vance has once again used the plot of Pulp Fiction to explain what faith means to him.

Speaking to political commentator Matthew Knowles on his podcast on Tuesday (30 June), the vice president discussed how the 1994 cult classic bears parallels with his own religious experience and view on miracles.

Mr Vance discussed a scene where Samuel L Jackson’s character says to John Travolta’s character that he felt the “touch of God” after emerging unscathed following a shootout.

The US vice president said he “keeps on returning” to the scene, which he had previously publicly discussed at an evangelical event in 2024.

Earlier this year, Pete Hegseth quoted a non-existent bible verse that was actually said by Samuel L Jackson’s character during the film.
