New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart has been ripped by his own college coach Lane Kiffin after the latest pictures of him and girlfriend Marissa Ayers went viral.
It’s Dart’s outfit that is being made fun of – the young quarterback was dressed in an all-black outfit that looked like a robe, along with a white collar and cuffs.
One X user picked up on the photos and shared them with the caption: ‘You know Jaxson Dart is madly in love because he’s dressing up like a pilgrim for his girlfriend.’
The comment went viral and was spotted by the new LSU coach Lane Kiffin, who coached Dart for three years when he was at Ole Miss.
Kiffin reshared the post, tagging Dart and adding a crying-with-laughter emoji for added measure.
The man himself hasn’t responded to the verdict on his outfit but did leave a couple of comments on Ayres’ post.

The high-profile couple made a glamorous appearance at the NFL Honors back in February
‘You are beautiful,’ he wrote in one comment and added in another: ‘Nun of yo business sinna’s.’
Dart’s younger brother, Diesel, also got in on the fun, commenting: ‘Pastor Jax.’
The couple’s relationship was confirmed in January, when Ayers shared a series of pictures with Dart alongside the telling caption ‘Rumor has it..’
They made an eye-catching appearance on the red carpet at the NFL Honors on Super Bowl week in San Francisco, too.
Dart, 22, is making the most of the offseason before his first full campaign as starting quarterback for the Giants in 2026.
It will be under the guidance of new head coach John Harbaugh, too, who is overseeing a rebuild of the team roster after a difficult couple of seasons at MetLife.
Dart will partner up with a new tight end in 2026 with Harbaugh bringing Isaiah Likely with him from the Baltimore Ravens.
Other key offensive weapons will also be back healthy, including running back Cam Skattebo and wide receiver Malik Nabers, who nearly missed all of the 2025 season with a torn ACL.
But for now, Dart is enjoying his downtime. He might think twice the next time he picks his outfit out, though.
