Jakobi Meyers is putting pen to paper on a huge new $60 million, three-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, six weeks after arriving from Las Vegas.
The Jags, who have gone 5-1 since Meyers’ arrival in Florida, risked losing him into free agency at the end of the season, but have now tied him down.
The blockbuster deal, which has $40 million guaranteed, was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and ties Meyers down until the end of the 2028 season.
Since arriving from the Raiders, the wide receiver has 27 catches for 355 yards and two touchdowns.
Perhaps more importantly for Meyers himself, he has gone from the worst team in the NFL in Las Vegas, to a real Super Bowl contender, with the Jags 10-4 and top of the AFC South.
