British and Commonwealth super lightweight champion Jack Rafferty has promised a “demolition job” when he fights Mark Chamberlain in Altrincham on Saturday.
The 29-year-old from Manchester defends both of his titles against Portsmouth’s Chamberlain in what promises to be an all-action contest.
“There’ll be a demolition job for sure,” Rafferty told Sport.
“I have to do whatever I have to. If the knockout comes then it does – I’m ready and tuned up for this.”
Rafferty’s past two fights have been big wins in his hometown over Reece MacMillan and Cory O’Regan at the Co-op Live Arena.
The ‘Demolition Man’, as he is known, boasts a perfect professional record, winning all 26 of his bouts, including 17 stoppages.
This weekend, he headlines at what will be a packed Planet Ice Arena in Altrincham.
“I’m massively looking forward to this,” Rafferty added.
“Three, four fights ago I was still paying for opponents myself and now I’ve signed to Queensberry and am fighting a massive name in a headline show.
“It’s what dreams are made of and I’ve worked hard for this. It’s going to be amazing and there will be an army for me there – I just need to perform now and that’s what I will be doing.
“The place is sold out and it’s going to be electric, I’m ready to rock and roll.”
