Views sought to improve the knowledge base and enable more accurate assessments of potential pressures and impacts on water quality.
The Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) has launched a call for evidence to improve the knowledge base on impacts on the water environment and to enable a more accurate assessment of the potential pressures and impacts on water quality.
The consultation is aimed at all stakeholders with an interest in the water environment in Northern Ireland. It sets out background information on the current water body status and water management in Northern Ireland, and seeks evidence on
- key issues affecting Water Quality Status in NI
- local issues and activities in your area that may impact water quality
- awareness of the NIEA incident hotline
The evidence gathered will form part of the ongoing preparation for the Significant Water Management Issues Report to be issued later in 2025/2026.
Find out more about the consultation and how to respond.
