Rapper Ice Spice has addressed her recent altercation with a fan at a McDonald’s, making light of the situation.

On Friday, the Grammy-nominated artist, 26, reshared the viral video of the alleged attack on X, alongside the caption: “This wouldn’t happen at Wendy’s,” most likely in reference to her partnership with the fast-food chain. She overlaid the clip with a new song.

Ice Spice’s humorous response comes days after TMZ published security footage showing the “Big Guy” rapper enjoying an early morning meal at a Hollywood McDonald’s on Wednesday with a friend.

The footage shows a woman running up to Ice Spice’s table to speak to her. “Are you from Cali?” the woman repeatedly asks, as Ice Spice deflects by responding with the same question.

With each question, the woman gets closer to the musician, real name Isis Naija Gaston, who is seated in a booth. After some back-and-forth, the woman grows frustrated and slaps Ice Spice, who leaps up to defend herself. A man standing at a nearby table steps in, grabs the woman and pushes her outside, while Ice Spice follows, climbing across the tables.

Outside, the fight continues as Ice Spice and the man get into a screaming match. They end up moving into the street, where the woman rushes Ice Spice, shoving her to the ground, while others try to stop the fight.

Following the incident, TMZ spoke with the alleged female perpetrator, who claimed, “Ice Spice was just being rude. She was like, ‘Why are you over here? You could leave.’ Then she calls me a b****. So after she calls me a b****, I hit her.

“She lost a fan, I can’t listen the same to her anymore.”

In a statement shared with Billboard, Ice Spice’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, said they intend to explore all avenues to “hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions.”

“The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all criminal and civil avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions,” he said. “We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their apparent lack of appropriate security.”

Cohen added: “Not to mention that the individuals involved obviously did not realize that we would get the video from inside the McDonald’s where the unprovoked attack occurred. They then turned their cameras on after the initial attack as if to set our client up, and as they say on the video to ‘go viral.’ The only thing that will be going viral for them is their mugshots.”

Representatives for Ice Spice did not immediately respond to The Independent’s request for comment.
