Pop star Sinitta has dramatically evicted herself from I’m A Celebrity… South Africa following the earlier departure of Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts.

The 62-year-old, who was a contestant in 2011, made her exit during a bushtucker trial on Wednesday night’s episode.

She shouted: “I’m a celebrity get me out of here,” immediately ending the challenge for all.

Her Wednesday night departure comes days before the series finale.

Olympian Sir Mo Farah, former football manager Harry Redknapp, ex-Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, Waterloo Road actor Adam Thomas and actor and DJ Craig Charles remain as the five finalists.

Speaking to Ant and Dec, Sinitta said she entered the show with “bravado” and determination to win.

“The truth is, I was terrified” she said.

“I was kind of forcing myself to do it because I was tired of being scared because I’ve been scared of stuff, all my life.

“I’ve learned that I’m someone who has good game face.

“I put on this thing but I really am a strong person. I’m a calm person.”

She later posted on her Instagram describing her time in South Africa as “life changing” and that she will cherish the memories forever.

It comes after Pussycat Dolls singer Ashley Roberts was evicted from I’m A Celebrity… South Africa earlier on in the episode.

The American singer, who lasted 12 days in the camp after previously coming runner-up in the 2012 series in Australia, was evicted after being the slowest to complete a puzzle during a challenge.

The singer was “gutted” to not make it to the final and told Ant and Dec that she found the all-star series “really tough” compared with her first stint on the show.

She said: “The challenges and trials were really tough. It wasn’t just one eyeball, it wasn’t just one smoothie. I mean, Craig (Charles) did 30 something shots of blood and guts and brain.”

“I am proud of myself. I faced some of my fears.”

Speaking about her fellow campmates she added: “I loved them all. Everybody had their own magic.

“I feel really lucky being through this crazy experience with the group that I had.”

The singer said she hopes Sir Mo will be crowned king during the highly anticipated finale on Friday.

I’m A Celebrity… South Africa airs on weeknights at 9pm on ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV Player.
