A man who ran for 24 hours without stopping has revealed the horrifying effect that the brutal challenge had on his body.
Joe Pritchard took it upon himself to achieve the feat to raise money for the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation – a motor neurone disease charity which was set up in honour of former Scotland rugby star Doddie Weir.
In a video posted on his TikTok page, Pritchard recorded his running challenge at the New Inn pub in Shrawley, Worcestershire.
He had to put up with setbacks such as a broken treadmill, mental blocks and a bloody nose during his 24 hours on the machine.
He was able to complete an astonishing 104 miles (167km) while raising £4,000 with punters helping him out along the way.
A second video laid bare his struggles with the challenge he had set himself during the charity marathon.

After sitting down for just 15 minutes before the planned visit to the pub’s beer garden Joe’s body seized up and he had to be carried outside by his friends, where he began to feel unwell.
He then collapsed and briefly lost his vision, which meant he had to be taken home by those who had stayed to monitor his welfare.
After being helped into his house, he blacked out for the second time but appeared to be in a better condition after taking a hot bath.
Reflecting on the experience, Joe admitted to feeling ‘weird, light-headed and dizzy’ after his extreme challenge.
Reacting to the video in the comments section, users were shocked that no bystanders called an ambulance given Joe’s condition.
One user inquired: ‘Why did you not go to the hospital?’
A second added: ‘Really should have gone to hospital, this isn’t normal.’
A further comment read: ‘I mean you’ve ran for 24 hours I’m not too sure what you expected to happen’.
Some viewers suspected he had contracted rhabdomyolysis – a condition that sees the skeletal muscle break down rapidly and can often be caused by high-intensity exercise over an extended period.
The NHS describes it as a ‘potentially life-threatening condition’.
