- Hughie Fury was out of action for two-and-a-half years due to health problems
- He made it three wins from three with an impressive victory over Christian Thun
Hughie Fury made it three wins in a row since his comeback after a dominant victory over Christian Thun on Friday night.
Fury, 30, is the cousin of Tyson, and a former British heavyweight champion.
He has an impressive professional record of 29 wins and three losses from 32 fights during a career that has included blockbuster showdowns against the likes of Joseph Parker and Alexander Povetkin.
However, Fury has also battled health problems and spent two-and-a-half years out of the ring between October 2021 and April 2024 due to an unspecified issue that left him feeling ‘weak with no strength’.
Since his return, he has beaten both Kostiantyn Dovbyshchenko and Patrick Korte and on Friday night, Fury took on Christian Thun in Sheffield.

Fury put in a stunning performance as he won via points after hitting his German opponent with several thumping bows.
Thun showed impressive determination to withstand Fury’s power and he tried to fight back as the rounds went on.
However, Fury wasn’t deterred and smelt blood in the seventh with a powerful punch, but despite Thun’s knee buckling, he continued to survive.
The fight ended up going the full eight rounds as Fury pushed for the knockout, yet he had to settle for a win on points.
Fury continued his extremely promising comeback after missing more than two years of action
Fury’s margin of victory was 78-76, although the score didn’t reflect his true dominance in the bout.
Fury’s performance helped to solidify his ambitions to break into the upper tiers of the heavyweight division after a difficult few years, although at the age of 30, he will appreciate that time is against him.
