A staggering $250 million (£187m) windfall will be distributed by FIFA to clubs across the globe whose players participate in the upcoming World Cup finals.
According to figures published by the world governing body, the minimum expected return for teams stands at approximately $5,000 (£3,700) per player, per day.
The final payouts will take into strict account the exact duration of each individual player’s involvement in the tournament, including the group stages and knockout rounds.
FIFA has also allocated an additional $100 million (£75 million) pot to reward clubs that released their players for the grueling World Cup qualifying stages.
With a total of 905 qualifiers played globally ahead of the tournament, the anticipated benefit for those clubs stands at approximately $2,360 (£1,700) per player, per match.
The expansion of the scheme means a range of lower-league and domestic clubs will receive a significant financial boost, even if their players failed to reach the finals.

Traditional powerhouses are expected to bank the lion’s share of the main £187m fund, with elite Premier League and European squads boasting the highest concentration of tournament talent.
The announcement of the figures comes after The Daily Mail revealed FIFA has failed to pay supporters who sold World Cup tickets through their resale marketplace.
The resale platform offers those who have purchased tickets but can no longer attend the opportunity to shift their tickets. FIFA say the ‘initiative is designed to protect supporters from invalid or unauthorised resale’.
However, unlike most official resale platforms, which are designed to prevent touting and inflating prices, there is no cap on what sellers can charge. Meanwhile, FIFA charge both the buyer and seller for use of the platform, taking a 30 per cent cut of any sale.
After a sale has been processed, FIFA’s terms and conditions state that sellers should receive payment within 60 days of a ticket being sold on the platform.
But documents seen by Daily Mail Sport suggest there have been instances where reimbursements were not made within the specified timeframe.

In one case, a supporter sold tickets on April 2 for Norway’s match against Iraq in Foxborough for approximately £1,250 through FIFA’s official resale platform.
Despite the payment deadline passing on June 1, the individual has yet to receive the funds and has requested an update from FIFA. FIFA confirmed the individual’s payment details were received on May 12, but no payment has been made.
FIFA has told Daily Mail Sport there is a backlog in processing payments, but added assurances that all outstanding amounts will be paid.
The delay is due to additional information being required for payments above the original price paid for tickets, since these cannot simply be refunded to the original payment card.
