Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly signed a new deal with Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr which will confirm his position as the world’s highest-paid footballer.
The 39-year-old superstar joined Gulf state outfit in a blockbuster move in January 2023 on the heels of his acrimonious departure from Manchester United.
The Portugal international received a staggering contract which sees him make around £164million per season for his on-pitch contributions, with another £49m of his salary coming from ventures off the field.
Now, his salary will leap up to over £167.9m (€200m) as he extends his deal by a further year – and the 39-year-old will also receive a share of the club’s ownership to further boost his reported £500m net worth.
But how has Ronaldo spent his mega-millions over recent years?
Here, Mail Sport runs the rule over the player’s lavish lifestyle and his investments in luxury transport, property, and diamond-encrusted watches.

The Portugal star’s storied collections include one of watches, such as the the Franck Muller Invisible Baguette Diamonds Imperial Tourbillon – worth £1.13m
Eye-popping too are the sums spent on his property portfolio, with one development (CGI rendering pictured) now set to end up costing over £28m
Eye-watering property portfolio
After spending the first few months of his time in Riyadh in the appropriately opulent Four Seasons hotel, where their ‘Kingdom Suite’ cost a whopping £250,000 per month, Ronald and his family finally put down roots in 2024 with the purchase of a mansion in the exclusive residential area of Al Muhammadiyah.
But despite being based in Saudi Arabia for much of the year, the family home there is only one of a number of Ronaldo’s upmarket bases.
In 2021, Ronaldo invested in a property on the Portuguese Riviera with the dream of building a ‘hospital-sized’ mansion in Quinta da Marinha – but the project is over two years behind schedule.
A number of CGI images of what the property might look like when completed have been shared by Ronaldo’s supporters, eager for a glimpse of the future, but for now, the project remains a building site, as well as a nuisance to his neighbours.
Ronaldo’s mansion is set to include a giant glass swimming pool with an underwater walkway, and a master bedroom measuring 1,000 square feet as part of what is believed to be Portugal’s most expensive property development.

The former Juventus player is thought to have bought this mansion in Marbella five years ago
The Madrid mansion in the La Finca development was the 39-year-old’s base for much of his career with Los Blancos
But the mansion-in-waiting is only one of a number of properties that Ronaldo has in his home country, including two city-centre crash pads in Lisbon – one of which is the most expensive penthouse apartments ever sold in the country – and a £7 million renovation on the island where he was born, Madeira.
The Al-Nassr player purchased the former warehouse in 2015 and spent £7m renovating the seven-storey mansion, where his mother Dolores and brother Hugo are thought to live.
Three of the property’s floors are thought to be below-ground, and while little is known about the number of bedrooms in the palace, the grounds have two swimming pools, and an indoor football pitch for training.
Despite the numerous links to the country of his birth, Ronaldo also maintains an important base in one of the cities closely associated with him – Madrid.
Currently for rent, the modern Joaquin Torres-designed complex in the exclusive enclave of La Finca has seven bedrooms and Ronaldo’s long-term partner Georgina Rodriguez once described ‘getting lost’ in the property due to its expansive size.
For the £8,800 a month, a potential tenant can also enjoy indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a state-of-the-art gym, a football pitch, and CR7 monogrammed door handles.
For trips away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Ronaldo is also believed to have purchased a £1.4m holiday villa in La Resina, a golf and country club estate between Marbella and Estepona.
The four-bedroom complex includes an infinity swimming pool with views of the Mediterranean – but even that is outclassed by his most recent purchase, a mega-mansion worth ‘tens of millions’ on Jumeirah Bay Island.

Ronaldo reportedly purchased a mega-mansion on Jumeirah Bay Island, better known as ‘Billionaires Island’, a secluded Dubai enclave home to the super rich
The 30,000 square-metre villa has six bedrooms, private access to the beach, a showroom for seven cars, a spa, a swimming pool with a view of downtown Dubai and accommodation for employees on site.
One property that Ronaldo is keen to shift is his base in Manchester. Over two years after his muddled exit from former club Man United, his mansion in Alderley Edge, Cheshire, remains on the market.
Ronaldo has already had to lower the initial February 2023 listing price of £5.5m significantly, with the seven-bedroom house now tagged with a guide price of £4.9m.
A prospective new owner of the 23-acre estate would find themselves in possession of a two-bed guest barn as well as the main house, plus property features including a cinema room, a wine store, a leisure suite with pool, gym, sauna, and jacuzzi, and a padel tennis court.
A taste for expensive watches
Ronaldo has been an avid collector of timepieces since his early days at Real Madrid, with a predilection for those at the particularly rare and lavish end of the spectrum.
It speaks to the value of CR7’s collection that his most modest piece – a Franck Muller Vanguard Chronograph White Gold with Diamonds – is only worth a paltry £18,800. His most valuable watch – a Girard-Perregaux Planetarium Tri-Axial Tourbillon Rose Gold with Diamonds – is worth a staggering £1.4m, and one-of-a-kind.
Elsewhere in his arsenal, Ronaldo owns a £618,000 Jacob & Co, a £1m Hublot, and a £665,000 Breuguet, as well as a slew of watches from other reputable watchmaking houses.
But the most personalised in the collection is his Jacob & Co ‘CR7’, an homage to his Bugatti Chiron CR7 car. Dripping with diamonds and black sapphires, it also features his CR7 logo engraved in rose gold.

The most expensive watch in his collection however is the Girard-Perregaux Planetarium Tri-Axial Tourbillon Rose Gold with Diamonds
The player has also created a unique watch with Jacob & Co which bears his personal logo
It comes as no surprise, then, that Ronaldo became a shareholder in online watch marketplace Chrono24 in 2023.
An upgraded jet
Having received an enormous contract upgrade in Saudi Arabia, Ronaldo’s taste in private aviation has run along similar lines. In 2024, Ronaldo sold the Gulfstream G200 that he purchased for £16m in 2015, and has instead splashed his cash on a new Bombadier Global Express 6500 jet worth an eye-popping £61m.
The all-black model has the capacity for up to 15 passengers, and features a number of different rooms, including a seating area with tables and sofas, a suite with a double bed, and a separate shower area.
In true Ronaldo style, his jet is customised with his logo throughout, and decals of his silhouette celebrating a goal in characteristic fashion.
Fans got a first glimpse of the aircraft in December, when Ronaldo and his family travelled to the North Pole ahead of the festive season.

The good ship Cristiano
Ronaldo purchased the 27m Azimut Grande for £5.5m in 2020 and continues to enjoy life on the high seas when taking time away from the pitch.
The yacht boasts space for eight guests in five cabins, with six luxurious bathrooms, and the Ronaldo clan have been spotted visiting a number of idyllic Mediterranean destinations on the boat, which is named for its model.

Ever-expanding car collection
If there’s one thing that Ronaldo can’t resist, it’s the purchase of a brand new, extremely rare super car. January of last year saw the superstar reveal his latest purchase, a dark blue Ferrari Purosangue worth £400,000 – but it’s far from the most expensive motor in his £18m collection.
Ronaldo’s most expensive car is a limited-edition Bugatti Centodieci worth £8.5m – and he is believed to be one of only 10 people worldwide who owns the supercar, which can reportedly reach a top speed of 236mph. The brand is one of Ronaldo’s favourites, with the star also owning a Chiron and a Veyron – but his collection is swelled further by his admission to Piers Morgan that he likes to have two of everything.
Other supercars owned by the former Real Madrid and Manchester United star are a Mercedes G-Wagon Brabus worth £600,000, which was a present to Ronaldo from his partner.
He also has a £1.5m Bugatti Veyron, a Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG worth £200,000, a bright orange McLaren MP4-12C and a Lamborghini Aventador, worth £270,000.

Ronaldo’s partner Rodriguez also gifted him a Rolls-Royce Dawn model (pictured) worth more than £250,000
But the jewel in the crown of his astonishing collection is a black and silver Bugatti Chiron (above) which set him back £2.5m and can go an astonishing 261mph
In 2021, Ronaldo bought a Bentley Flying Spur worth £250,000 to use in Manchester, having re-joined United from Juventus in August.
He then purchased a £200,000 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera convertible which boasts a 5.2 litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine and is capable of delivering a stunning 715 bhp.
He also has a Bentley Continental GT, a Lamborghini Urus and a Chevrolet Camaro worth ‘only’ £40,000, which is used for the family.
Ferraris are another passion, with Ronaldo buying a Ferrari Monza worth £1.4m, having visited Ferrari HQ in Maranello in May 2021.
