A official calling a girl’s high school basketball game in Kansas utterly embarrassed himself by flopping to the floor – with fans roasting him on the internet.
In a game between the high schools of Eudora and Bonner Springs, a Bonner Springs player was trying to make a layup under the opposing team’s basket. After missing her first shot, she grabbed her own rebound and fought through multiple other players to try and put up a third attempt.
It missed and she wasn’t able to grab the rebound – with Eudora walking the ball up the floor. At that moment, it appeared the player turned to the referee on the baseline to say something.
Immediately, the referee blew a whistle and signaled for a technical foul. As the player walked toward the bench, the official followed her – and then tossed her from the game.
As the player and her coach tried getting an explanation, the official got close to the little girl and appeared to bump her. After about a second’s hesitation, the referee then threw himself to the floor.
It was an absolutely absurd display from the official, considering he is significantly heavier and taller than the player he ejected.

The referee then made a fool of himself, making light contact with the player before flopping
He was eviscerated on social media as basketball fans mocked the official for the bizarre reaction.
‘That ref needs to be either sacked or suspended,’ wrote one user on X. ‘There is no room for flopping trying to get a coach or player in trouble for nothing. This is gross.’
Another remarked, ‘Just wow!!! Time for a new hobby because officiating ain’t it.’
One user said, ‘Even refs Flopping now?!’ while adding a skull emoji. A different reply read, ‘Well he’s fired lmao.’
‘if refereeing doesn’t work out this guy has a future in federal law enforcement,’ said another.
One user who claimed to be at the game said that the official ‘paused [the] game because of apparent flop and then finished not only this game but reffed another after.’
