Harry Kane has been brutally trolled on social media by Augsburg after they won 2-1 at Bayern Munich in the biggest shock of the Bundesliga season so far.

Vincent Kompany’s side looked on course for another routine home victory when Hiroki Ito put Bayern ahead midway through the first half at Allianz Arena on Saturday.

But relegation-threatened Augsburg had other ideas and scored twice in six minutes late in the second half – through Arthur Chaves and Han-Noah Massengo – to record a famous win.

And they revelled in the moment on social media with a cheeky dig at England captain Kane, who played 90 minutes but was unable to get on the scoresheet. 

Augsburg posted a version of the viral ‘what time are you coming’ meme on X, which depicts a mocked-up text exchange between two fake accounts.

In response to the question ‘what time are you coming’, the sender replies with a picture of Kane. They are then asked ‘WTF does that mean’ before the recipient responds with ‘it means I’m not showing up’.

The club then replied to their own post with a statistic showing how Kane has scored 21 goals, just one less than their entire team has managed so far this season. 

‘All jokes aside, fair play to Kane! Unreal season he’s having,’ Augsburg wrote.

The surprise defeat at the hands of Augsburg, who moved up to 13th with the win, ends Bayern’s hopes of going the entire league season unbeaten – though they remain eight points clear of Dortmund at the top of the Bundesliga.

Augsburg are only the second team to beat Kompany’s side during this campaign, with their other defeat coming at the hands of Arsenal in the Champions League.
