Enhanced package of support for eligible Belfast businesses to help them win public and private sector tenders.
Who it is for
Eligibility criteria
- Have an established business, trading for at least two years in the Belfast City Council area with less than 250 employees (or full-time equivalent).
- Be new to the Go Succeed service (this can be checked at the information session).
- Be able to use your best endeavours to create a part-time or full-time job in the next 12 months.
Support you can get
Belfast City Council is offering existing businesses one-to-one mentoring with a specialist advisor, a bursary to support them in securing a Real Living Wage accreditation, and their first year’s membership to Invest NI’s Tender Alert Service.
An in-person information session about this support will take place on Thursday 23 July 2026 from 10am to 11am at Belfast City Council Offices, 9 Adelaide Street, Belfast, BT2 8DJ. Register for this event.
The information session will include
- Representatives from Belfast City Council’s commercial and procurement services who will provide insights into the Council’s social value requirements (including the provision of the Real Living Wage) in tender specifications.
- Representatives from the Belfast Business Promise who will provide guidance on their programme of support.
- Representatives from Invest NI who will provide guidance on access to their business support, including their tender alert service.
- Representatives from Advice NI who can provide guidance on the Real Living Wage requirements and accreditation.
If eligible, following the information session, businesses can avail of
- Access to one-to-one mentoring support which can be tailored to support them on a live bid, or equip them with the skills to be tender ready when the opportunity comes.
- A bursary to cover the cost of their first year’s Real Living Wage accreditation, which will serve to bolster future tender responses to public sector bodies.
- A bursary to cover the cost of their first year’s membership of Invest NI’s Tender Alert Service allowing you to easily identify public sector contract opportunities.
