Funding available for game developers
Northern Ireland Screen has opened its latest Games Development Call through the Screen Fund. Up to £15,000 is available for eligible narrative-led games planned for commercial release. Original intellectual property and service work projects can apply.
Narrative games are story-driven experiences where players engage with a character or world through an authored storyline.
Eligibility and project requirements
Applications must be for one project only. Successful applicants must complete development within three months.
To qualify, businesses must
- be based in Northern Ireland
- provide a minimum total project budget of £20,000
- contribute at least £2,500 in cash and £2,500 in kind
- show evidence of match funding as part of the application
Northern Ireland spend should normally match or exceed the amount awarded, unless there is a strong reason why not.
