Mark Hunt has taken to social media to challenge a personal trainer who has spoken out against the former UFC heavyweight following a domestic violence arrest.

The MMA cult hero has told his followers that he will give the Sydney resident $100,000 should he win.

Hunt was arrested earlier in April by police in north-east New South Wales.

The ‘Super Samoan’ was charged with one count of stalking or intimidation with intent to cause physical harm and the court heard that he also allegedly sent a death threat to the woman via text.

Since being released on bond under strict conditions including moving back to Cobbity, Hunt has taken aim at a personal trainer who uses the Instagram handle sydneyspt.

The person behind the sydneyspt account took to his own Instagram prior to Mark Hunt’s outburst to condemn the former UFC star following his arrest for domestic violence.

He was initially responding to a post by Hunt where he attempted to explain his actions that led to his arrest, saying: ”you threatened to kill her, you didn’t just argue.

‘There’s a very big difference between normal relationship marriage arguments and death threats.

‘Many Australian females have died from the hands of their exes after death threats were made.

‘If you had a daughter and she had death threats, how would she feel, how would you feel but you keep justifying it, and saying oh yeah every man does this and it’s normal, it’s exactly what I expect of someone who has CTE and a low non-existent IQ.’

That led the former UFC big man to respond with an offer of a fight, taking to his Instagram to say ‘I would like to give this a f*****g dong for real.

‘This PT, Indian PT guys, I don’t know why he’s speaking out he has none of the f******g facts, no clue about it but he just talking his trash.

‘This goes out to the sore heads I will do this for free, bareknuckle no time limits I want to give this guy a dong. It will be my pleasure to change his life.’

That led to further jibes from the sydneyspt account, who accused Hunt of proving his point: ‘So I criticised you for resorting to violence when you lose control of your emotions, now here you are resorting to violence because you’ve lost control of your emotions, your ego’s hurt, I get it.

‘Going through legal issues about violence and anger and threats, this exactly proves my point.

‘You chose to be a public figure that means you are open to public opinion and I spoke up because I have seen you justify and normalize you sending threats to someone else and regardless of context you have a platform and others are backing your move, influencing others to engage in the same behaviour.’

After an initial taunt by Hunt where he posted on his Instagram story ‘ok look I retract my challenge as loser has no clue how to look after himself, ok so I don’t know what he is teaching others. I would go to jail especially being bareknuckle.’

The two have since agreed to fight at a jockboxing event, though it will not be bareknuckle, with the pair donning 8oz gloves.

Despite not getting all of his wishes, it seemed to appease the UFC star who holds an MMA record of 29 fights, 13 wins, 14 losses, one no contest and one draw, who said: ‘I am not going to go back and forth, this guy has grown a backbone but he doesn’t want to do bareknuckle or MMA gloves.

‘8oz gloves he said he will do, I don’t want to do either because you can really feel, bareknuckle and MMA gloves you can really do but 8oz gloves will have to do.’

The fight will have no time limit and the bout will only end with one man standing, and Hunt has further added to the heated exchange by offering his opponent $100,000 should he win.
