Feyenoord director general Dennis te Kloese reportedly joked he had sold one of the club’s stars to Manchester City after their key role in the Dutch side’s stunning comeback on Tuesday.
Man City appeared to be on course for a comfortable win at the Etihad, with an Erling Haaland brace and Ilkay Gundogan strike giving the hosts a 3-0 lead over Feyenoord.
The Dutch side hit back impressively in the closing stages, with Anis Hadj Moussa seizing on a mistake by Josko Gvardiol to pull a goal back for the visitors in the 74th minute.
Santiago Gimenez reduced the deficit further, before David Hancko completed the comeback with an 89th minute strike to earn Feyenoord a point.
Hadj Moussa was named as the player of the match by UEFA following his crucial role in Feyenoord’s fightback.
According to Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Feyenoord director general Te Kloese took the opportunity to joke with the Algerian winger after he returned to the dressing room having collected the award.

‘Whoa, whoa, not in this dressing room you,’ Te Kloese reportedly said when Hadj Moussa went to enter the Feyenoord dressing room. ‘You have to go to the next door.’
‘But that’s the Manchester City dressing room,’ Hadj Moussa responded.
This led to Te Kloese quipping ‘Yes, I just sold you’, before laughing with the winger.
Te Kloese’s comment was seen by the Dutch press as highlighting the winger’s impressive rise to starring against the Premier League champions.
Hadj Moussa had joined Feyenoord in the summer from Belgian side Patro Eisden, who had loaned him to Vitesse from February to May.
Te Kloese had reportedly agreed a deal worth £2.9million for the winger, representing a record sale for Patro Eisden.
Hadj Moussa has recently started to repay the investment having scored in back-to-back Champions League matches.
The 23-year-old now has four goals in 13 matches this season for Feyenoord.
