The recent burglaries of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s mansions are now part of a federal investigation.
Sources told TMZ the FBI is helping Cass County (Missouri) Sheriff’s deputies to probe the Mahomes robbery, while the Bureau is teaming with the nearby Leawood police on the Kelce burglary.
And according to TMZ, the feds aren’t simply involved because the victims are famous Kansas City Chiefs players. Rather, the FBI’s role in the investigation indicates these crimes are related to others in various jurisdictions. Furthermore, there are other break-ins at homes in the area, sources told TMZ.
FBI spokespeople did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.
Both Travis and Brittany Mahomes’ as well as Kelce’s Kansas City-area homes were robbed last month as the teammates were off playing for the Chiefs.

Mahomes’ luxury mansion in Belton, Missouri was first reported to be burglarized at around midnight on October 6 as the defending Super Bowl champs were preparing to host the New Orleans Saints.
Meanwhile Kelce’s lavish $6million home in Leawood, Kansas is then said to have been targeted just hours later on October 7 – the same day the Chiefs beat the New Orleans Saints at Arrowhead Stadium with Taylor Swift in the stands.
The report claims $20,000 in cash was stolen from Travis’ house, while his back door was also damaged. It is unclear if anything was taken from Mahomes’ property.
The burglary at Kelce’s property was flagged to police sometime on October 8.
It’s unclear where Kelce and Mahomes were at the time of the burglaries. Some NFL teams do stay at hotels the nights before home games.
Swift was cheering on Kelce and Mahomes in Kansas City’s Monday Night Football showdown with New Orleans on the day her boyfriend’s home was burglarized.
In a 26-13 victory for the hosts, which maintained their unbeaten start to the season, Mahomes completed 28 of his 39 passes with 331 yards and an interception. Kelce, meanwhile, had nine catches for 70 yards.
Kelce wanted more privacy after he was harassed at his old home amid his romance with Swift
The latter moved into his 17,000 sq. ft. Leawood estate shortly after his high-profile romance with Swift went public last year in a bid for more privacy.
DailyMail.com then revealed in November 2023 that the pop megastar had joined him in the luxury six-bed, six-bath pad.
Kelce’s home is located at the end of a cul de sac in a gated community just 20 minutes from Arrowhead.
The future Hall of Famer was desperate for more privacy after he was harassed at his old property in KC’s Briarcliff West area by crazed fans amid his relationship with Swift.
Mahomes and wife Brittany moved into their Belton mansion back in 2020. The property now includes a practice football field and a golf hole.
