NFL fans have praised former New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones for not forgetting about the men that protected him all season, and sending them a lavish gift a month after he was cut from the team.
Jones, now a member of the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad, sent each of the Giants offensive lineman a limited edition bottle of Clase Azul tequila.
A regular fifth of Clase Azul, known for its blue-and-white design and its bell on top of the bottle, costs $170 online.
Jones was a first-round draft pick of the Giants in 2019 and had been the team’s permanent starting quarterback until last month, when he was benched in favor of Tommy DeVito.
Jones’ tenure with the Giants was marred by his inconsistent play and the team’s fan base becoming more upset with him by the year.
Now, removed from the Big Apple, fans of his former team and others are giving him props for not forgetting about the men that used to be his shield.

A pair of messages about Daniel Jones buying expensive tequila for his former teammates
‘Classy gesture from Daniel Jones, showing appreciation for his offensive linemen despite the change in teams,’ one NFL fan said.
‘He sent them alcohol cause he knows being on the Giants makes you wanna drink.’
Jones’ NFL future still looks promising with his experience, as he is bound to have another opportunity down the line with the Vikings or another team.
In a league where several guys have had more chances than they deserve, Jones being on his second franchise at the moment gives him less baggage than some of his contemporaries.
There is one less piece of baggage that definitely can be said about Jones now – he is a respected teammate and cares about those he shares a locker room with.
Jones has not played for the Vikings since joining the team last month.
