Channel Seven has been criticised by the A-League after a camera crew member was seen rushing off in the middle of a football press conference.
Sydney FC’s Patrick Kisnorbo and Jordan Courtney-Perkins took centre stage to talk about the club’s upcoming friendlies versus EPL giants Chelsea.
But they were interrupted when a Seven representative grabbed their microphone mid-press conference and walked away.
Courtney-Perkins looked bewildered as the mic was snatched away from beneath his face.
Fans have since been quick to respond to the gaffe – with one fan complaining ‘this is why we can’t trust our major channels to promote anything in this country’.
The A-League social media team poked fun at the moment by sarcastically claiming Seven’s representative was rushing off early to ‘recut a rugby league promo’.

That jibe was a reference to how some football fans were already up in arms about featuring in a Seven promotional video for a rival code’s event – the upcoming Rugby League World Cup.
Vision of Socceroos supporters at Federation Square, marching to Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco, and at a watch party in Canada were all visible in that clip.
The decision to use celebration footage from a rival code to promote the upcoming tournament led exasperated fans to lash out.
‘Didn’t know Socceroos were playing in the World Cup with majority use of the World Cup and live site footage,’ one fan wrote on X.
‘Where was the Rugby League live site watch along? Really strange thing to do this,’ another said.
‘How come this is footage of soccer fans. I mean seriously, wtf??,’ one more suggested.

‘Imagine the desperation to steal footage from other codes,’ another claimed.
The Rugby League World Cup officially begins on Thursday, October 15 – when Australia faces New Zealand at Allianz Stadium.
Channel Seven was approached for comment.
