The prospect of ex-Lions star Terrion Arnold being sentenced to life behind bars is not putting off his potential suitors, according to a remarkable new report.

Arnold, 23, was cut by Detroit on June 29 after it emerged he is the alleged mastermind of a kidnapping and armed robbery plot, for which he is facing a life sentence.

But uncertainty over his future doesn’t appear to have deterred all NFL teams, with his agent Harvey Steinberg previously claiming that three teams have already reached out to him.

A new report from ESPN reveals that he is now expected to visit ‘several teams’ that have shown interest in him, after he was given the green light by a judge to continue his NFL career.

He cleared waivers on Monday of this week, after posting a $1 million bond, and has been ordered to stay at his residence in Tallahassee, Florida, except when he is training, playing or traveling with an NFL team. He has also surrendered his passport.

It has not been specified which teams he will visit, or which teams have privately expressed an interest in him, but it raises the possibility of him returning to the field in the 2026 season.

In a court appearance last week, prosecutors had requested Arnold be fitted with an ankle monitor, however his attorneys argued he would be unable to play football with this device on – something the judge sided with.

The Lions took Arnold in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, held in Detroit. He has now become the first player selected in the first round from that year’s draft to be released by his team.

Arnold played 24 games, with 22 starts, in his two years with the Lions. He managed one interception, against the Minnesota Vikings in November 2025, and defended 18 passes.

He has been accused of leading a plot to detain and pistol-whip three people he believed had stolen from him.

However, investigators claim those victims had nothing to do with the theft – which occurred in February.

Over $250,000 worth of personal property belonging to Arnold and others was reported stolen from an AirBnB rental about 20 miles west of Tampa on February 1.

Three days later, three men in their late teens were held at gunpoint, battered, pistol-whipped and robbed at a Tampa apartment.

Authorities claim that Arnold was the ‘primary conspirator’ in the attack. Arnold has denied his involvement, according to the player’s management agency.

At least seven people face charges, including two who pleaded guilty last month and are cooperating, the state attorney’s office said. One was immediately sentenced to four years in prison for kidnapping, conspiracy and robbery with a gun, records show.

Arnold was initially denied bail in a pre-trial motion from prosecutors. That motion, reviewed by the Daily Mail, shed light on further details which hadn’t been revealed when the cornerback initially turned himself in.

Within the motion, Arnold is accused of instructing co-defendant Jasmine Randazzo to lure the three victims to her Tampa apartment, where roommate and co-defendant Arianna Del Valle was waiting as fellow co-defendants Christion Williams and Lyndell Hudson hid inside the residence.

Del Valle greeted two of the victims at the door. After one asked where Randazzo was and began searching for her, Williams and Hudson emerged from a bedroom closet carrying firearms, according to the motion. Hudson pointed an AR-15-style rifle at one victim and began striking him while Williams did the same to the other victim with a semiautomatic firearm.

The third victim later arrived at the apartment door out of concern for his friends’ whereabouts, according to prosecutors, who claim he suffered a similar fate.

Prosecutors say the assaults were captured on a video livestream and shared by Del Valle with Arnold and co-defendants Freddie Hughes and Boakai Hilton as they drove towards the Tampa apartment from Tallahassee.

Meanwhile, the co-defendants allegedly engaged in a text message chat, where Arnold and Hilton are accused of giving instructions to Del Valle, Williams, and Hudson on the beatings. Additionally, Hudson, Williams and Hughes allegedly stole wallets, phones, jackets, cash, and jewelry belonging to the three victims.

After Arnold, Hilton, Hughes, and Ridgeway parked outside, the armed assailants allegedly escorted the victims outside, where they were forced into their vehicles and fled, according to prosecutors.

The victims promptly filed a report with Tampa police and a search warrant was served on Del Valle and Randazzo’s apartment, leading to Del Valle’s arrest. She has since admitted to her involvement in the scheme, as has Randazzo, who received a four-year prison sentence this week. Del Valle has yet to be sentenced in the case.

Both Randazzo and Del Valle each positively identified Arnold as the defendant, according to the motion.
