Funding and mentoring are available for Northern Ireland community organisations addressing health inequalities

The Public Health Agency (PHA) and the Community Development and Health Network (CDHN) have opened applications for the Elevate NI Programme.

The programme supports local community organisations to deliver projects that use community development approaches to tackle health inequalities across Northern Ireland.

What to expect

Elevate is designed to strengthen organisational capacity and improve project delivery through a structured support offer.

The programme provides support through

  • tailored mentoring support over a six-month period
  • access to training and networking opportunities
  • guidance on organisational development and project delivery
  • access to funding to support community health activity
  • grants of up to £5,000 for eligible organisations, or up to £1000 if your group is unconstituted

Who can apply?

Applications will be accepted from voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in Northern Ireland.

Applications are particularly welcomed from groups that are volunteer led, have less than five staff or support people from LGBTQIA+ and Minority Ethnic communities and those living with a physical and/or learning disability.

How to apply

Check the eligibility criteria and apply to the Elevate NI Programme.

The deadline for applications is Friday 22 May 2026 at 4pm.
